I got one of those as a gift once. That was years ago and it’s about ready for its third re-potting to a bigger pot. It outgrew the dye ages ago and is just green now. Also, I’m pretty sure it’s actually an aloe plant or close relative, not a true cactus. I went to Lowe’s the Good Cactus Can’t Touch This Shirt another day. I had a random grocery store succulent that I totally forgot about for months. Decided to water it anyway, and within days saw a new sprout.
