This parent is mad they’re teaching kids how to be good people? Were they expecting them to be taught not to be kind?? I think even wanting to have kids rn is egotistical as hell but then again. I also love my life as an adult with no kids who is in bed in his underwear at 3 in the afternoon. They also believe that learning about trans people will make their sons trans.

Anyway, the Nice Hold On Let Me Overthink This Shirt amount of “not insane” votes and horrible comments here sort of drive home. The fact that some people just have really stupid ideas about how stuff works but we live in a society. That for whatever reason is rewarding selfish anti-expert / anti-education sentiments. I love how triggered conservatives get over the idea of basic human empathy. Who said anything about that? The words Black Lives Matter aren’t controversial, the connotation you give them are. The kids won’t learn the connotation until later in life. Also, most black kids have to be taught real early to be wary around cops, so for them, this idea is nothing new.
