Every so often someone will post charts a Good LeBron James The One Shirt showing support of various stances over time, broken out by conservatives and liberals. Liberals are pretty rock solid, as they stand by their beliefs. Conservatives will almost entirely flip flop depending on who’s in charge and telling them what to think. They basically just want an authoritarian daddy to identify who and what to be against. Those are political issues, in that they must be solved with the use of the policy. I’d argue the main problem is they have become unnecessarily partisan when positive support for things like human rights should be universal.

Detaching the Good LeBron James The One Shirt issues from politics won’t help. Expose the politics of the people who use these issues to divide. But isn’t there still prayer and recitation of the pledge of allegiance in schools? Last time I looked that was indoctrination also. This fails on the face of it, never mind any deeper analysis of actual political or social-economic perspectives. It’s just narcissistic self-centered behavior, I over us. And it’s fair to say this has been aggressively exacerbated by our president. Sigh. As a non-practicing Catholic, it bothers me when I see so many Conservative Catholic folks fall into this. I attended Catholic school from elementary through my master’s degree. The Catholic stance on most social issues.
