As a white man, I thought I had a Chadwick Boseman’s ‘Black Panther’ Legacy Means Shirt very basic understanding of the impact Mr. Boseman, the other actors, and the entire movie had on black people, but this video made me realize that I’ll never really understand. My tears of joy turned to tears of sadness real quick. How heartbreaking it is that there are so few similar faces in power for young black people to connect with, for parents of black children to point to. It’s just not right. The thing is, there are countless black people who could be the faces if only given the chance and the recognition they deserve. Rest in Power, Mr. Boseman. And, for the living, let’s do better.

It’s weird how hearing about another human being dying, a human being that you barely know can hurt so much. He fought the fight in silence for 4 years and nobody, but his loved ones even knew about it. But he kept on acting because that is what he loved to do. There will always only be one King T’Challa. RIP and condolences to his family. I just watched Black Panther yesterday. I legit was thinking how I was looking forward to Chadwick’s older/mature roles he’d come into as he turned 50 and beyond.
