Does cause/effect really matter when the result can be determined by either? Simply put, for your average non-French speaker, it’s easier to look at the last few letters and understand if a word is likely to be feminine or masculine. Anyways, If I offended you in anyways in my first comment, please accept my sincere apologies. My apologies then, I mistook the tone of your comment as one of combativeness and condescension.

I totally agree that the ending of a word can help guess what the word is. Never Awesome 46 Baseball Shirts said otherwise. I myself struggle with a lot of words, and let’s not talk about words that differ between french and Spanish even though they come from the same Latin word, like la Leche and le lait! I think when I answered your comment, which I don’t really remember in the middle of the others, I was giving examples of names and their etymologies as you said they were masculine or feminine “because” of their endings. My answer was based more on the etymology of the words. Why countries are le ou la? Not how can you guess their grammatical group, which it seems was what you were talking about.

the only thing I would alter is the size of the design in proportion with the 2X Large shirt. I was hoping the design would be a little bigger as the shirt I ordered is for a big man. Other than that, perfect. I mean really, who doesn’t like the Dude????
